Alger, Algeria, January 23 – 2008
The African Olympic Qualification features five teams Algeria, Kenya, Cameroon, Senegal and South Africa competing for the lone African slot in the 2008 Olympic Games.
Kenya’s Women got their African Olympic Volleyball Qualifier off to a good start. Kenya beat Senegal 3-0 (25-14, 25-9, 25-16). Algeria also claimed a first day win over Cameroon, the match was won easier then expected for Algeria who boasts 4 European based players, Algeria beat Cameroon 3-0 (25-17, 25-18, 25-14).
