Coaching Session With Tony Barnett
Posted by Rapids Volleyball on Wednesday, April 30, 2008
Wellingotn will be treated to a session with newly appointed Men’s National Coach Tony Barnett. He’ll be running a training session at Porirua College on 10/11 May. Its all apart of getting players and coaches to gain another level that has been missing in New Zealand Volleyball, which is representative competition.
On 7/8 June there will be a round robin tournament in Palmerston North at Freyberg High School (9-5pm Sat, 9-3pm Sunday) with the following invited teams;
Central Zone Teams
Gisborne
Napier / Hastings
New Plymouth
Palmerston North (include Wanganui)
Wellington (include Hutt / Porirua).
The training at Porirua College is for Men’s Central Zone team. Players from U/18 to Club players were (and still are) encouraged to enroll and register for the training session (ASAP). From the training session, a top team will be selected as the Men’s Central Zone team and will play an Invitational team on the Sunday (11th of May, 1pm). Players Registration Form.
The training session is open for Volleyball Coaches to attend any part of the sessions to observe, discuss things with Tony Barnett & increase your volleyball knowledge. Click here to get an idea of how the training session took place for the Southern Zone.
